Quality accreditations

Institutional Accreditation

The URV Faculty of Economics and Business has been institutionally accredited by the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU) and the Council of Universities since March 2020, the first public university faculty in Catalonia to have this accreditation.

Accreditation represents renewal of accreditation for all official university bachelor's and master's degree courses offered by the Faculty for a period of five years. It was granted following renewal of the initial accreditation for at least half of the official bachelor's and master's degrees taught at the Faculty, plus the fact that the implementation of our Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS) is certified.

In April 2017, the Faculty became the first public university faculty in Catalonia to receive IQAS certification, which guarantees that mechanisms have been put in place to ensure the quality of all processes involved in the Faculty's teaching activities (mobility, internships, academic organisation, teaching staff, etc.) and that these are reviewed to ensure continuous improvement. This certification represents a guarantee to all current and future students of external assessment of the quality of the courses offered.

ACCA

The Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Accounting (FiC) and the Degree in Business Administration and Management (ADE) offered by the URV Faculty of Economics and Business are accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). The ACCA is the international benchmark for professional accreditation in areas related to accounting and finance.

ACCA accreditation of these degree programmes means up to 8 of the 9 modules required for certification can be exempted from assessment. Specifically, FiC graduates and ADE+FiC double degree graduates are exempt from 8 modules. The exemption is 4 modules for ADE graduates and ADE+Law double-degree graduates. Students can apply for this professional accreditation by registering with the association.
